Păltiniș eMTB Triad – 2 days, 2 different tests for e-bikers
At Triada MTB Păltiniș we will have 2 separate eMTB competitions, one on Saturday and one on Sunday. Participants can opt for one, the other, or both.
eMTB XCO
Registrations can be made here https://triadamtb.ro/inscrieri-triada-mtb-paltinis-xco/, choosing the eMTB Open Male or Female category. The minimum age limit is 18 years old (completed by December 31, 2023). The competition is XCO format and there will be several laps on a circuit from Păltiniș Arena. Every time it’s super fun, don’t miss it!!

You cannot train on the competition route outside this interval because one of the climbs is on the descent of the classic XCO route.
It is recommended that you take at least one tour of viewing the route.

The number of laps will be communicated before the start. The competition will last between 45 min. and 1 h for the first competitor. The start will be given en bloc.
Geiger eMTB Challenge
Registrations can be made here https://triadamtb.ro/inscrieri-triada-mtb-paltinis/, choosing the eMTB route. The minimum age limit is 18 years old (completed by December 31, 2023). The route is 26 km long with the start and finish at Păltiniș Arena, and covers some of the emblematic routes in the area.

Pick-up of starter kits
The start packages will be picked up on Saturday between 13:30 and 16:30 or Sunday between 8 and 9 from the Race office.
We recommend that you take the start packages on Saturday within the designated interval. If there will be too many participants who will pick up kits on Sunday morning you may miss the start!!!
Start procedures
The departure is on the slope from Păltiniș Arena, up to the chairlift.

On the trail segments that follow clear roads/trails, the markings are somewhat rarer. In the intersections you will find more frequent markings.
Where the eMTB route separates from the other routes you will find arrows indicating the eMTB.
Power points
2 power points: KM 10.5, KM 19.5
Food and drinks will be prepared on the tables and each competitor is served alone. People at the points of supply are not obliged to fill your cans with water or give each of you the glasses of drink. However, as much as possible they will help you with these things. Be patient and behave civilized with both volunteers and other competitors.
Route
Brief description of the route
After going up and down the slopes of Păltiniș Arena we follow a road to the Păltiniș hermitage and before going out on the road we turn left on a climb of about 1 km not very steep but technical.
After a short descent follows the first long climb of the route to KM 6 at the peak of Oncești. It descends to the right on a path with many stones to Poiana Onceşti and then passes into Poiana Muncel. From here the route is mostly common with the other routes. Climb to Șaua Bătrâna where you will find the first feeding point, then on the summit, descend to Păltiniș (be more careful on this descent). Before crossing a river, take it to the right and climb the Oncesti peak again, this time steeper through the forest.
The technical descent takes you to the 2nd feeding point where you will turn left.
It follows 4 km of almost flat forest road towards the end of which you can enter the last 5km of the route. The last part: short and steep descent, a technical logo parallel to the road (which you also traveled after the start but in the opposite direction), the climb behind Păltiniș Arena and the descent on the Flow Trail.
Bicycle technical specifications
Only approved electrically assisted bicycles whose forwarding is not possible without human action are acceptable. The electric assistance must only be up to 25 km/h (+/- 10%). The delimitation of bicycles leads to disqualification!!
The bikes can be checked by the organizer at any time and in any way during the 2 days of competition.
Timing, results and rankings
Electronic timing with disposable chip. The results will be available online.
Accidents
In case of an accident, notify the organizer as soon as possible. By phone (if you have) to the emergency number on the bib number, or to the first referee. By phone, try to communicate the location as accurately as possible.
