[vc_row][vc_column width=”2\/3″][vc_column_text]The 9th edition of the MTB Triad debuts at the weekend in Avrig. The AVRIG MTB Triad is for the 5th consecutive year the first stage of the MTB Triad and will take place on Saturday and Sunday in the town of Avrig and the surrounding hills.<\/p>\n

Like last year the competition spans two days. On Saturday, the action is concentrated in the garden of the Brukenthal Palace and on the adjacent streets where we have arranged a route for the show. Also on Saturday, competitions will be held for children between 4 and 14 years old, competitions that this year count as the first stage of the National Mtb Children’s Cup. For Sunday we have prepared two routes, one of 43 and another of 79 kilometers, the last climbing up to almost 1,200m altitude in the Fagaras Mountains.<\/p>\n

The MTB Avrig triad is also this year the first stage of the National Mountain Bike Marathon Cup, which gives extra motivation to the competitors. For the most part, the degree of difficulty is an average one, but there are also some areas with high difficulty that will put to the test the approximately 300 participants who announce themselves to be present at the start. The area chosen for the route is a special one in terms of landscapes, in many points of the route you can admire panoramas of the Olt Country or of the Fagaras Mountains.<\/p>\n

The competition is organized by Scott Faresin Team in partnership with the City Hall of Avrig, under the aegis of the Romanian Cycling Federation and is sponsored by ZUZU, TIEMME, FARESIN, URGO, SCOTT, OPTcycling, MAPEI, BOSCH, SANTAL, POWER BAR, POLAR, AVstore.ro, SHIMANO, KENDA, ACTION SPORT.<\/p>\n

Brukenthal Avrig Palace is also this year the host of the start\/finish area and all the activities around it.<\/p>\n

Media partners: Kiss FM, Tribuna, Sibiu 100%, Zile \u015fi Nop\u0163i, ciclism.ro, freerider.ro, dirtbike.ro.<\/p>\n

The Avrig City Police, the Avrig Local Police, the Sibiu County Gendarmerie Inspectorate and the Sibiu Mountain Rescue Public Service will contribute to the good conduct of the event.<\/p>\n
